PAGE PROPERTIES

You can access the page properties from the FORMAT > PAGE PROPERTIES link in the toolbar:

PAGE SIZE

The Page Size is the width and height in pixels, i.e. the resolution of your's and your visitor's monitor. The initial page size, 650 X 1500 pixels, may not be the best size for you. For example, if you are using a 800X600 resolution monitor there could be blank space on the right hand side of the monitor using the default dimensions.

If you increase the width to greater than 800 your browser will put a horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of your monitor (and anyone else's monitor that is 800X600). So if the width is made smaller you can't put all the things you want in the space provided. If you make the width wider then visitors with 800X600 monitors will not be able to see the entire page.

You can, however, make the page longer, i.e. change the height. To increase the page ;height, click on FORMAT|PAGE PROPERTIES and then change the height to a larger number. It may not be necessary that you increase the width as then some surfers may see a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of their screens if their monitor resolution is smaller that the width you use on your monitor.

PAGE TITLE

The page title is the topic of your page and displayed by the browser in the top left hand corner. Your title should be descriptive, i.e. not My Home Page but rather My Home Page - All About Sports And Electronics.

KEYWORDS

Use Keywords, which are words or phrases, separated by commas, so that search engines catalog your page. These can also be placed using META TAGS!

NOTE: Submitting your site to search engines most likely will not allow others to find your site due the billions of pages already on the web. But it doesn't hurt to try. You best bet for people finding your site is to submit your main page to google.com.
