NEW PAGE

Making a new page is easy. On Page Builder's tool bar click on the NEW ICON.

Add text, graphics, links, etc. to this page. See those topics in the drop down menu at the top left.

Once you made this new page and SAVE IT (use a single name with letters and underlines, but no spaces). Be sure to name it something related to the topic on the page. For example, if you are discussing your pet cat, Sammy, you could name it 'sammy'. Then go back and edit your main page and add a link to it (See LINKS) to this new page.

First, your main page (entrance) to your site should be the named, index. Please see INDEX.HTML for instructions.

Next, any page you make you can name anything you wish. For example, home. Then this page, after you save it, can be immediately seen on the web at

http://www.geocities.com/your-member-name/home.html.

Your main home page should not contain all the topics you wish to show a surfer. Rather, it should have links to the other topics. If you haven't read about links yet, please do so it this time.

Next, you should learn how to put text on a page. See PUTTING TEXT ON A PAGE.

USE ALL LOWER CASE IN FILE NAMES
NOTE: - I strongly recommend that you DO NOT USE capital letters in file names as all links to your GeoCities pages are now CaSe SenSiTIVe, e.g. MyPage.HTML is NOT THE SAME FILE as mypage.html. Besides, it is much easier to remember names if the name is all lower case, e.g. 'mypet' is better than 'MyPet'.

MY RECOMMENDATION TO YOU!
You should have covered all the basics of using Page Builder. These help pages contain over 130 other topics that can assist you in using Page Builder. Please use the menu at the upper left to access these other topics. For example, if you have graphics on your PC's hard drive that you want to use on the web, then read UPLOAD FILES.

I do, however, recommend that you consider taking some time to learn HTML and making your pages with it. No, it is not too complicated or too difficult to learn. Actually, it is fairly easy and the basics can be picked up in a matter of hours. Please take a look at My HTML Tutorial. I think you will find you can learn and use HTML quite quickly.
