Denial Of Service Attack is carried out by malicious hackers, who have planted a IRC zombie/bot in unsuspecting PCs, to shut down of a particular server on the web.

How to check if you have a zombie/bot in your PC.

TEST #1 Open MSDOS active window. type the following command and press ENTER. netstat -an | find ":6667" If there is an IRC Zombie/bot you would see something like this: TCP 192.168.1.101:1026 70.13.215.89:6667 ESTABLISHED If you see the above then you should immediately disconnect from the internet. TEST #2 A secondary test for an IRC Zombie/bot is to use MSDOS and type: netstat -an | find ":113" If you see a response like this: TCP 0.0.0.0:113 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING then, again, you should immediately disconnect from the internet.
