OVERVIEW - CONTENT POSITIONING

Content Positioning allows you to precisely define where block elements are positioned on a web page. You can write Javascript code to modify these blocks, i.e. move them, hide them, and even make layers of them to achieve animation. You can even create self-modifying web pages.

Layers of a web page are like a stack of cards, one on top of another. These layers can transparent or obaque. To read more about layers, please CSS Layers.

There are two methods of content positioning:

Unfortunately, the latter method, <LAYER>, is only recognized by Netscape's browser. So this discussion of content positioning will use the STYLE option.
